DIY pacifier bag

DIY pacifier bag
We all know how hectic it can be searching for a pacifier in the never ending diaper bag. I can remember when my husband would search for one, couldn't find it, and then I'd look and it was right there. Sometimes it was as simple as him looking in the wrong pocket. Other times it was just that there was so much stuff in the diaper bag that it was easy to miss. It would have been nice to have a small bag to keep them all in one place - then we'd always know where to look!

Here is a great picture tutorial that shows you exactly how to make your own pacifier bag. Whip out one of these and you won't have to deal with them getting lost in your diaper bag, or finding them stuck to the bottom covered with crumbs.

If you have a diaper bag that has removable straps, I'd consider sewing a piece of material on the back or attaching a ribbon to make a loop that you could use to attach this to the straps of your diaper bag. That way it never gets lost! - Trisha

Pop that pacifier in a Pipila

Pop that pacifier in a Pipila
You know how the story goes. With your first child you sterilized her pacifier in boiling water every time it dropped on the floor. By the time your fourth arrived, you boiled it only when it fell in the toilet. Our fourth is now 14 months old and I can’t recall the last time I sterilized her pacifier (sad but true).

When I read about the Pipila sanitizer I realized it was the perfect gadget for moms like me and for moms who are still in the “I would never just wipe the pacifier on my pants” stage. The Pipila uses a patented UV/O3 (ozone) lamp to eliminate up to 99.9% of harmful germs hangin’ out on your child’s pacifier. Simply insert the pacifier into the Pipila, push down and voilà! Five minutes later you have a germ-free pacifier. (I wonder if they could design one that would work on kids…)

The Pipila accommodates all standard pacifiers and does not change the shape of the pacifier nipple during sterilization. Hygienic, safe (both UV and ozone are natural elements) and environmentally friendly, this compact little sanitizer operates with only 2 AAA batteries, which means you can easily sterilize on the go. The Pipila comes in three colors (red, yellow and blue) and is available from Amazon.com for $33. For a mom whose sterilization practices include using her own spit, it’s probably a worthwhile investment! - Emily H.

Never lose a pacifier again!

Never lose a pacifier again!
Here is a great tutorial from Girly Things on how to make a pacifier clip for your little one. You can customize it to your little one's outfits and pick whatever ribbon you like.

This one is made for the pacifiers that have a ring, but I've seen the adjusters for the MAM brand and other ones similar to that on ebay.

I would also consider using a snap instead of the velcro they use, just to make it harder for baby to undo.

These are perfect to clip onto your little one's clothes so you always know where the pacifier is - no more searching only to realize you or your baby dropped it somewhere. - Trisha
