Costumes for the mama-to-be

Costumes for the mama-to-be
Halloween is the one time a year people get to dress up. Maybe you're having a hard time deciding what to be with your baby bump.

Here is a great list of maternity costumes. They also have a list of creative maternity ideas for couples (moon and astronaut, watermelon and farmer, and so on).

Have you come up with - or just seen - a great maternity or pregnant couples' costume? Share it here! - Trisha

Two years ago (not pregnant) I went to a halloween party as an “Irresponsible Pregnant Treehugger” complete with pillow in my beat up overalls to simulate bump, tie-dyed Phish teeshirt, empty blue American Spirit cigarette boxes in all my pockets, and a beer bottle in each hand. It was very offensive and sort of funny. Not the best costume ever, but workable.

Last year I was 5 months pregant at halloween so I just wore the same thing, except I filled my beer bottles with water to sip and did not need the pillow- had a real bump by then. It was extremely funny the second time around and I got lots of compliments from people who remembered it from the previous year.
