Covering up: Baby boy diaper changes made drier

Covering up: Baby boy diaper changes made drier
Everyone who has ever changed a little boy knows that sometimes you get a little wet. I have a little girl, but I remember changing my younger brothers and getting a surprise. I heard of a product a while ago that helps to prevent this wetness called the Peepee Teepee. It's basically a little cone that you put on your boy while you change him.

Browsing around, I found a tutorial for making your own cone covering using some flannel, scissors, and a sewing machine. They would be machine washable and easy to care for.

This would also be a great gift for a new mom. Make up a pack of five or six cones, and I bet the new mom will be grateful to have them more than once!

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I find these things to be pretty unnecessary… A wipe will work just fine if you’re worried about it (open diaper, drop wipe, grab another if poopy, new diaper, clean, done!) We got lucky, though… I can count on one hand the number of times my son relieved himself on the changing table.

But that’s just us! I’m sure some parents consider these a godsend, but it definitely wouldn’t make our list of “must haves” for new parents. :) Cute tutorial, though ("Giddy up!") :)
