Five ways to make your own wet bag

Five ways to make your own wet bag
If you use cloth diapers, you probably have a wet bag - a leak-proof bag you can throw dirty diapers in without having to worry about them leaking all over your diaper bag. But even if you don't use cloth diapers, a wet bag is always nice to have - for handling spit-upon clothing, wet swimsuits, and all kinds of things ingenious parents think of in a pinch.

Ever thought of making your own wet bag? I've discovered five great-looking tutorials for making wet bags - two zippered, two drawstring, and one made of recycled plastic bags.

Here's a great tutorial for making your own zippered wetbag. The finished size of this one is about 6 inches tall by 5 inches wide. If you want to make it bigger, cut out a bigger rectangle, like 16 x 7".

Here's another tutorial for a lined zippered wet bag.

Looking for a drawstring wet bag? Or maybe a lined drawstring wet bag. To turn this last one into a wet bag, just make sure to use PLU as the lining.

Don't have PLU available at your local fabric store? Try recycling your plastic bags by fusing them together using this great tutorial.

If you try any of these, or have made or plan to make your own wet bag a different way, let us know how it goes! - Trisha
