Before I came across The Spoon Sisters' Yo Yo Bunny and Yo Yo Puppy, I had no idea yo yo - or yo-yo - dolls existed. How could I have missed out on these totally cute quilted curios?

For those of you like me who aren’t familiar with yo yo dolls, these fun, quilted toys are made using a variety of fabric scraps that are sewn into lightly gathered circles of fabric or “yo yos.” The Yo Yo Bunny and Yo Yo Puppy from The Spoon Sisters is a wonderful take on this classic quilter’s doll. They are hand sewn by artisans in Bolivia and El Salvador in accordance with fair trade guidelines and safety tested to make sure they are appropriate for children under the age of three.

How can you not smile just looking at these fabulously whimsical dolls? Besides being brightly colored and full of lots of fun prints, these Yo Yo Dolls are truly unique since each one is handmade using a variety of fabrics.
