Hooded Baby Towels and More!

Hooded Baby Towels and More!
Have you ever felt that the hooded baby towels you buy from the store are just too thin? Or maybe they are too small for your little one. I found a great (free!) pattern for making your own hooded towels that also includes patterns for a fingerless bath glove with attached washcloth, and a hood for an existing towel. This pattern is by Break It Down Design and has lots of pictures to help guide you along the way.

We have several towels that were made by sewing a hood made of a hand towel to a matching large bath towel.  These are by far my favorite towels for my toddler. (Okay, I confess, I love the “bear” hooded towel from Pottery barn kids that someone gave us a gift - but I’m not paying that much for towels!)

That’s what is so great about this pattern, is it gives you an option for sewing a hood on an existing towel, and you can adjust the size too, so it will fit older kids, not just younger ones.
