It’s never too early for a little haiku

It’s never too early for a little haiku
My children’s extensive collection of board books includes the complete works of Sandra Boynton and classics like The Runaway Bunny, Goodnight Moon and Pat the Bunny - that’s just half a shelf out of two full shelves of books. Because they're bursting at the seams I am pretty picky when it comes to adding another one to the shelf, but when I saw Haiku Baby at a boutique in Kauai I knew I had to have it!

The book’s cover immediately caught my eye with its bright colors and simple yet sweet design. Then I noticed the wonderful little tabs on the right side (similar to Sandra Boynton’s Snoozers) making it easier for little fingers to turn the pages. Once I opened Haiku Baby I was enchanted by the sweet haikus and beautiful artwork. Here’s a sample from the book:

yellow nose kisses.

Those 17 simple yet adorable syllables are a wonderful way to introduce baby to the wonderful (and very poetic) world around her. Even if your board book collection is as ginormous as ours, make room on that bookshelf for Haiku Baby. You can purchase Betsy Snyder’s Haiku Baby for $7 on Amazon.com. - Emily H.

Greetings from the author and artist of Haiku Baby! Thanks so much for a lovely review of my book. I am tickled that you found it in a boutique in Kauai–what a lucky book to find itself on an island book shelf! Wish I could be right there with it!
